Primary purpose of job:
Provide critical analysis to assess annual sales of petroleum and/or chemical products from State of Qatar.
Develop a short-term market outlook for management integrating a variety of internal and external inputs.
Serve as a member of the Integrated Business Team.
Review and support proposed sales plans, validating this against current market dynamics and sales strategies for supporting Marketing and Shipping activities.
Provide input in terms of shipping fixtures with the aim of maximizing netbacks.
Ensure benchmarks are established for sales plans are appropriate.
Providing unbiased market intelligence, analysis, planning and performance evaluation.
Experience & Skills:
Minimum 7 years or equivalent experience, 5 years in the oil and/or petrochemical industry or related experience– preferably from trading background in the same products.
Comprehensive knowledge of the Oil and Gas and/or Petrochemical industry in one or more of the following products: marketing/trading, market analysis of crude oil, field condensate, transportation fuels, LPG, naphtha, bunker oil, polymers, or chemicals.
Demonstrated ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment with minimal functional supervision.
Strong fundamental understanding in economic analysis.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Sound ability in developing and making senior management presentations.
Education:
Undergraduate degree in engineering, economics, business or equivalent.
