Waiter

JOB PURPOSE

The waiter is responsible for providing prompt, efficient service of food and beverages, taking orders and guiding runners while maintaining quality standards. He/she sets and clears tables, keeps the restaurant tidy and advises guests on menu items and drinks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Arranges table set-ups before and after each customer according to the brand’s established standards.
• Presents customers with the menu upon their arrival, assists in their item selection, takes orders and serves food in a timely manner.
• Communicates efficiently with the kitchen staff and barista to guarantee customer satisfaction and collaborates with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of all activities.
• Ensures the staff consistently delivers friendly, professional and timely service and reports immediately any discrepancies or customer complaints to the Manager on duty.
• Collects bill payments from customers and hands them over to the cashier.

LANGUAGE & TECHNICAL SKILLS

Language Proficiency

• Fluency in English.
• Arabic is a plus.

EDUCATION

High school degree.

EXPERIENCE

One years of experience in customer service in a similar role.
