Key Accountabilities of the role: Receive and review the defaulted customers’ files and maintains the interest of the bank in the litigation, and other claims submitted by the Bank’s customers by representing the bank through external lawyers in different courts of law, experts in civil law cases and criminal cases by submitting relevant documents (Defense memo, statement of claim), recording dates for court sessions and rulings in order to reserve Bank’s right and benefits and give the best defense possible. Instruct external lawyers and follow up to conclusion all litigation instituted for and against the bank. Follow up and update Business on court matters and instruct external lawyers to attend court hearings for and on behalf of the bank and provide advice on any litigation affecting the bank. Review and making legal comment on defaulted customers’ file provided by the business to legal to take legal action. Review and provide legal comment on court’s expert reports related to cases filed by and against ADIB. Drafting and issuing legal notices and demand letters as requested by business. Attending the court expert meeting in specific and complicated cases. Work closely and assist the head of litigation on litigation matters. Provide mentoring to junior members of the team.
