Duties & Responsibilities: Contributes to the development and execution of the QU Health Sector’s strategic and operational plans in line withthe strategy and overall objectives of QU. Development of sub-strategies as required to support the implementation of the overall QU Health Sector’sstrategy. Manages and provide follow-up on the overall implementation plan for QU Health, coordinating withstakeholders, to ensure timely delivery in line with the educational, research and administrative requirements. Identifies and manages risks and issues threatening the execution of the QU Health Sector’s strategy and plan forthe appropriate response; eliminating, reducing, accepting or escalating. Develops implementation monitoring tools with stakeholders to resolve obstacles and implementation issues. Oversees the effective and continuous monitoring of QU’s performance against pre-set performance goals andensures that progress is made in the desirable direction and preventive/ corrective actions are taken accordingly. Guides the establishment and monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure they measure QU HealthSector’s performance through a clear system. Guides colleges and offices in establishing operational and strategic plans and a methodology for translating QU’sstrategic priorities to specific, measurable and realistic goals and targets. Oversees that all colleges/offices’ operational plans are consolidated into a master plan. Works closely with the Engagement and Communications office for the development and implementation of theQU Health’ branding strategy. Conducts performance appraisals for subordinates as appropriate according to scheduled plans and recommendactions as per applied Human Resources policies. Supports in identifying staff training needs and planning for appropriate trainings to be provided in a timely manner. Performs other tasks and duties that may be occasionally required in order to meet the requirements of the role andthe aims of the university. Maintain confidentiality of information at all times Qualifications: Master’s degree from a reputable university in a related field (ideally with focus on healthcare management) or health sciences (in combination with business/management degree or experience).
