Key Accountabilities of the role: Work closely with the obligors and focus on the recovery and turnaround of each classified account in the assigned portfolio. Negotiate and recommend restructuring/ settlement that maximize the prospect of recovery. Prepare and present credit proposals with well analyzed and evaluated restructuring and/or strategic recommendations to senior management for approval. Restructure facilities in order to preserve the bank’s capital and maximize the prospects of recovery after analysis of the case and relevant markets. Coordinate with Bank’s collection Legal department for collection efforts where legal action has been recommended. Follow up for earliest realization of proceeds from foreclosures/other legal actions. Ensure proper implementation and follow up on the operational aspects of the account management with timely and proper internal administration and record keeping. Coordinate with Sharia Department to ensure that restructurings are in line with Sharia principles. Monitor the recoveries of the assigned portfolio. Ensure that Collection Policies and procedures with respect to classified accounts are complied with. CCRs and annual renewals are prepared in a timely manner and security documents are updated as and when required. Conduct trade transactions (if applicable) for accounts that have been restructured (where limits are available). Specialist Skills / Technical Knowledge Required for this role: University degree in Business, Economics, accounting, Finance or related studies, such as MBA Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in real estate Lending, Relationship Management, general credit and credit analysis and/or background in recoveries and remedial.
