About the job Summary: The Traffic Engineer will play a key role in advancing major road, transportation, and infrastructure projects across Qatar by enhancing traffic flow, ensuring road safety, and optimizing transportation efficiency. This position requires technical expertise and hands-on experience in developing and implementing traffic management solutions within dynamic construction environments. The engineer will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including consultants, contractors, and local authorities, to ensure compliance with Qatar’s regulations and safety standards while supporting sustainable urban mobility. Responsibilities: Prepare and implement traffic management plans for infrastructure and road projects Conduct traffic studies and traffic impact assessments Monitor traffic flow and recommend solutions to reduce congestion Coordinate with project teams, consultants, and local authorities Review road layouts, diversions, signage, and traffic control systems Ensure all traffic operations comply with Qatar regulations and safety standards Support road safety improvements and transportation planning initiatives Prepare technical reports, project documentation, and site updates Participate in site inspections and project coordination meetings Requirements Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Traffic Engineering, or Transportation Engineering Proven experience in traffic engineering or transportation projects GCC or Qatar project experience is highly advantageous Solid understanding of road safety standards and traffic management systems Familiarity with infrastructure and highway projects is preferred Strong communication and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and effectively within team environments Preferred Skills: Traffic Management Planning Transportation and Mobility Studies Road Safety Analysis Infrastructure Project Coordination Traffic Diversion and Highway Planning Technical Reporting and Documentation Proficiency in traffic engineering software is a plus
