About the job

We are seeking a highly experienced Project / Planning Engineer with strong exposure to the Oil & Gas and Energy Engineering sector, particularly in projects involving rotating and turbo machinery systems.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end project planning, execution monitoring, scheduling control, and project delivery governance, ensuring alignment with baseline schedules and project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end project planning activities for oil & gas and energy engineering projects.
  • Develop, monitor, and control project schedules (baseline, recovery, and revised plans).
  • Ensure execution of project milestones in line with approved timelines and deliverables.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams.
  • Manage and track project progress using MS Project / Primavera tools.
  • Provide regular project status reports, progress analysis, and forecasting to management.
  • Identify project delays, risks, and bottlenecks and propose corrective actions.
  • Ensure alignment of project execution with engineering standards and client requirements.
  • Support planning for installation, commissioning, and maintenance of rotating equipment (turbines, compressors, pumps, etc.).
  • Lead or support projects under supervision of senior planning/project control leadership.
  • Ensure proper resource planning, workload balancing, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Maintain documentation, project logs, and planning records for audits and reporting.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory).
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Oil & Gas / Energy Engineering projects.
  • At least 5 years of experience as Project Engineer / Planning Engineer, actively leading project execution or planning functions.
  • Proven experience in managing projects involving rotating or turbo machinery systems.
  • Strong exposure to full project lifecycle management (concept, FEED, execution, commissioning).
