About the job 🚢 We’re Hiring: Plumber 🚢 Are you a skilled Plumber with experience maintaining and repairing piping systems on vessels? Join our team and keep our ship’s water, sanitation, and environmental systems running smoothly and safely. Position: Plumber Location: Shipboard (worldwide travel) Key Responsibilities: Maintenance & Repair: Perform maintenance, repair, and installation on piping networks, pumps, valves, and related components for plumbing, sanitary, pool, and environmental systems. Conduct routine inspections, troubleshoot issues, and diagnose problems effectively. Coordinate with supervisors for parts, tools, and repair methods. Workplace Organization & Safety: Maintain clean, organized workspaces; properly store tools and materials after use. Follow safety policies, use PPE, and report hazards immediately. Notify supervisors of malfunctions in environmental or safety systems. Team Support & Training: Participate in onboard training, meetings, and safety drills. Provide guidance to less experienced technicians as needed. Assist Maintenance Managers and other supervisors with various tasks. Compliance & Additional Tasks: Ensure adherence to ISM/ISO, SQM, USPH, environmental, and safety standards. Support additional responsibilities as directed, including working alternative shifts if required. Qualifications & Training: Minimum 2 years of experience onboard vessels. Welding certification (DNV, Lloyds) preferred. Completed STCW95 training. Skills in plumbing maintenance, pipe fitting, welding, leak testing, and fitting replacement. Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, and maintenance manuals. Safe operation of hand and power tools; basic diagnostic skills.
