About the job Monitor swimming pool or aquatic areas to ensure the safety of all guests and swimmers Enforce pool rules, regulations, and safety standards at all times Respond quickly to emergencies and perform rescue operations, first aid, and CPR when required Conduct regular checks of pool conditions, water cleanliness, and safety equipment Provide swimming lessons to individuals or groups (children and adults) based on skill level Plan and deliver structured training sessions to improve swimming techniques and water confidence Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and training progress Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of poolside areas Educate guests on water safety practices and proper swimming techniques Report hazards, accidents, or equipment issues to management immediately Ensure all lifesaving equipment is available, functional, and properly stored Support recreational activities and pool programs when required High school diploma or equivalent Valid lifeguard certification from a recognized authority Additional certification in swimming instruction or coaching is a plus Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a lifeguard or swimming instructor (preferred) Certified in Lifeguarding, CPR, First Aid, and Water Rescue (mandatory) Experience in teaching swimming lessons to beginners and advanced learners is an advantage Previous experience in hotels, resorts, clubs, or fitness centers is preferred
