About the job Job Title: L1 Engineer – Network Monitoring (Bilingual: Arabic/English) Location: Doha, Qatar Experience: 3–5 Years Job Summary We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented L1 Network Monitoring Engineer to support 24/7 network operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for real-time monitoring, initial incident response, and escalation of network issues while ensuring minimal service disruption. Fluency in both Arabic and English is essential for effective communication with stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Monitor network infrastructure using monitoring tools (NMS) to ensure uptime and performance. Detect, troubleshoot, and respond to network alerts and incidents in real time. Perform initial diagnosis (L1 level) and escalate complex issues to L2/L3 teams. Maintain incident logs, update tickets, and ensure proper documentation. Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and escalation matrices. Coordinate with internal teams and vendors for issue resolution. Provide regular status updates and incident reports. Ensure adherence to SLAs and operational KPIs. Support shift-based operations, including night shifts and weekends if required. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. 3–5 years of experience in network monitoring or NOC operations. Strong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN). Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios, PRTG, Zabbix). Basic knowledge of routers, switches, firewalls, and WAN/LAN environments. Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.). Good analytical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment. Language Requirements Fluent in Arabic and English (both written and spoken). Preferred Certifications CCNA or equivalent networking certification. ITIL Foundation (preferred).
