Job Purpose: To examine patients, diagnose illnesses and administer or prescribe appropriate treatment while addressing patients’ health related queries. The GP will also implement medical screening programs for applicants/patients in accordance with MOH and GCAA regulations. Key Result Responsibilities Work in an OPD set up in Air Arabia’s corporate clinic to treat employees/ patients in line with applicable standards & procedures of MOH and GCAA regulations. Provide preventative care & health education to employees. Manage emergency cases and perform minor surgical procedures. Refer patients to specialists for further testing and treatment if needed. Complete medical/ incident reports regarding investigations and the resolution of complaints. Implement Occupational Health and Safety programs in the company to promote occupational on varied health & wellness subjects. Supervise the treatment room, side laboratory and imaging unit to ensure they are hazard free. Continuously monitor & assess risk within the work areas and take appropriate measures within the practice to minimize risk. Actively participate in audits of the medical clinic. Train and indoctrinate medical staff to improve their knowledge, skills, and performance. Perform any other duties assigned by the line manager within the remit of this role. Profile description: Qualifications (Academic, training, languages): Holds a Medical Doctor Certificate, a Post Graduate degree is preferred. Valid MOH License/Evaluation. Work Experience: Minimum 5+ years’ work experience in a recognized health care provider as a general practitioner. Experience in OB-GYN and Pediatrics is required. Experience in Family Medicine Department is viewed favorably. Ability to work 24-hour shift pattern/ roster. Good verbal & written communication skills. Ability to learn and develop competency in Aviation Medicine.
