Energy Lawyer

RAYNE is growing, and we’re looking for strong, talented energy lawyers to join our consultant team. From large-scale renewables and hydrogen projects to conventional oil and gas transactions and the evolving regulatory landscape, the demand for experienced, commercially astute energy lawyers has never been stronger.

As a consultant at RAYNE, you will be embedded directly within client organisations, functioning as a genuine extension of their in-house legal teams. Secondments vary in length, sector, and legal discipline. Throughout every engagement, you will have the full backing of the RAYNE team behind you. What you’ll be doing:

You will be seconded to our clients and will work on a broad range of matters, including:

• Advising on upstream, midstream, and downstream oil and gas transactions and projects
• Supporting renewable energy, clean energy, and infrastructure mandates across the region
• Drafting and negotiating project documents, joint venture agreements, and energy contracts
• Advising on regulatory, licensing, and compliance matters across GCC jurisdictions
• Working alongside client leadership, technical teams, and government stakeholders
• Supporting project finance, concession arrangements, and cross-border energy deals

What we’re looking for:

• A qualified lawyer with 5+ years’ PQE in energy, projects, or natural resources
• Experience across private practice and in-house, ideally with GCC exposure
• Strong familiarity with project development, joint ventures, or energy regulation
• Experience with ADNOC, DEWA, or other regional energy players is a distinct advantage
• Commercially minded, pragmatic, and comfortable working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
• Fluency in English essential; Arabic highly advantageous
