📌 ROLE DETAILS

▸ Position: Banking Supervision Specialist

▸ Location: Qatar — ONSITE (relocation required)

▸ Positions Available: 2

 

📌 ABOUT THE ROLE

You will work directly within the regulatory authority — conducting on-site bank examinations, designing Risk-Based Supervision frameworks, drafting prudential policy, and building the capacity of the host institution’s supervisory teams.

 

✅ WHAT YOU WILL DO

▸ Design and implement Risk-Based Supervision (RBS) frameworks

▸ Conduct on-site bank examinations across credit, market, liquidity & operational risks

▸ Draft supervisory manuals, guidelines, and regulatory policy documents

▸ Apply Basel III/IV standards and SREP supervisory assessment processes

▸ Lead ICAAP/ILAAP reviews and stress testing exercises

▸ Develop off-site surveillance tools, scorecards & early warning indicators

▸ Mentor and build capacity within the host supervisory teams

▸ Liaise with international supervisory bodies and peer central banks

 

🎯 MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

▸ 5–10 years of direct banking supervision experience at a central bank or financial regulatory body

▸ Deep, practical knowledge of RBS framework design and implementation (mandatory)

▸ Proven on-site bank examination experience across all key risk categories

▸ Strong Basel III/IV, SREP, ICAAP/ILAAP & stress testing knowledge

▸ Track record of drafting supervisory frameworks and regulatory policy

▸ Bilingual: English (professional fluency) + Arabic (minimum conversational)

▸ Must be willing to relocate to Doha, Qatar for the full duration

 

⭐ STRONGLY PREFERRED

▸ Prior secondment or advisory experience with GCC/MENA central banks

▸ Experience developing off-site surveillance & early warning systems

▸ Proven capacity-building and mentoring experience in regulatory institutions

▸ Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance, Economics, or related field
