About The Role

The Associate Project Manager supports the successful delivery of IT and business transformation projects by coordinating planning, execution, monitoring, and governance activities. Working closely with Project Managers and the PMO, the role helps ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with governance standards, while maintaining effective communication among stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of projects within agreed timelines, scope, and budget.
  • Assist in project planning, scheduling, tracking, and reporting activities.
  • Monitor project progress and help maintain delivery governance and project controls.
  • Support risk, issue, dependency, and change management processes.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, status reports, and governance artifacts.
  • Coordinate project activities across business, technology, and vendor teams.
  • Help ensure compliance with organizational governance, regulatory, and audit requirements.
  • Support testing readiness (SIT/UAT), deployment planning, and production go-live activities.
  • Assist with post-implementation reviews and project closure activities.
  • Escalate delivery risks, issues, and blockers to the Project Manager when appropriate.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of project planning, coordination, and delivery methodologies.
  • Experience supporting projects within banking, financial services, or other regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of project governance, scope management, risk management, and issue tracking.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery approaches.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Planview, or similar platforms.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Approximately 3–5 years of project management or project coordination experience, preferably within banking or financial services.
