Seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant (Cost Control) to join the Finance team. The role is responsible for collecting, analysing, and presenting financial and accounting data, especially in Inventory Accounting, Costing, and Management Accounting. This position demands expertise in Oracle ERP (Inventory and Cost Management modules) within a steel production environment, ensuring the accurate determination of inventory costs, cost of goods sold (COGS), and financial reporting in compliance with internal policies and international standards

Key Responsibilitie
s:Monthly / Annual Closin
- g:Manage monthly opening and closing of Cost Management and Inventory module
- s.Perform overhead and joint cost allocations, prepare journal vouchers, and monitor absorption variance
- s.Clear pending transactions and WIP accounts across inventory organisation
- s.Run COGS recognition programmes and oversee WIP job valuation
- s.Scrutinise trial balances and perform necessary reconciliation
s.Cost Control and Continuous Improvemen
- t:Prepare monthly product cost sheets, broken down by process (e.g., DRI, Steel Making, Rolling Mill
- ).Prepare auxiliary product cost sheets for related materials (e.g., Lime, Dolo Lime, RBQ
- ).Provide advice on cost centre structuring and suggest improvement
- s.Assist in product pricing based on accurate cost analysi
s.Reportin
- g:Prepare detailed fixed cost, utility, depreciation, and overhead report
- s.Support quarterly and annual reporting, including data preparation for government agencies and external audit
- s.Generate by-product inventory reports and analyses of non-moving stoc
- k.Develop and maintain Discoverer reports as per business requirement
s.Inventory / Material Accounting Function
- s:Daily accounting operations for inventory organisations, including transaction clearances and system reconciliation
- s.Maintain raw material landed cost records and update system absorption rate
- s.Manage debit/credit note implications, particularly for oxide pellet and scrap purchase
- s.Perform monthly inventory and GL reconciliation and support physical stock verification processe
- s.Assist with data preparation for statutory audit
s.Policies, Systems and Processe
- s:Collaborate with IT to automate reporting and improve system processe

Minimum Qualificatio
